Master Shi Yan Jiong is a respected 34th-generation disciple of the Shaolin Temple, having devoted his life to the study, practice, and preservation of traditional Shaolin culture.

Beginning his training at a very young age in the Shaolin Temple in Henan, he grew up deeply immersed in Chan Buddhism, meditation, and the traditional martial arts of Shaolin.

 

With many years of teaching experience, Master Yan Jiong has developed a clear, structured, and compassionate approach to guiding students of all levels—from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. His instruction places equal emphasis on physical development, mental clarity, discipline, and inner stillness.

 

His specialties include:

 

  • Traditional Shaolin Kung Fu forms and routines, focusing on strength, coordination, and foundational combat skills.
  • Shaolin Qigong, a healing practice for strengthening the organs, improving breath control, and cultivating internal energy.
  • Shaolin Meditation & Chan philosophy, helping students develop mindfulness, emotional stability, and inner peace.
  • Weapon basics, conditioning, flexibility, and traditional Shaolin body-training methods.

 

 

Today, Master Shi Yan Jiong teaches at Xin An Chan Si Temple, where he leads the International Training Program for foreign students. With patience, discipline, and genuine dedication, he introduces students from around the world to the authentic methods and lifestyle of Shaolin culture.

 

He is known for his warm character, strong discipline, and commitment to helping each student grow—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Under his guidance, students experience not only martial arts training but also a deeper understanding of Chan Buddhist life and traditional temple practice.
